CHRIS SNELL, MD MPH DABA
Dr. Christopher Snell, MD, is the CEO and Owner of SEDATED INK, a company that combines the artistry of tattooing with the benefits of anesthesia. Dr. Chris has been trained by the best and prides himself on his attention to patient care. His interests include regional anesthesia, chronic pain management, and facial aesthetics. He is published in several medical journals and his work has taken him all over the world.
Christopher Snell is a native to Southern California, raised in Ocean Beach, San Diego. Dr. Snell began his medical journey at the University of California San Diego for his undergraduate studies. He then attended San Diego State University for his master’s degree, which led him to University of California Los Angeles for medical school. He then continued to expand his love for medicine at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he executed an anesthesia residency. He then concluded his training in Seattle at The University of Washington, completing an Interventional Pain Fellowship.
“My favorite tattoo is definitely my tribal chest and arm sleeve. It took 40 hours to complete and has a lot of meaning. My favorite part of my sleeve are my Cherokee mountains which stand for abundance of spirit, life, and family.”
LANCE MIXON, MD
Dr. Mixon is a distinguished anesthesiologist with a solid foundation in medical education from UCLA School of Medicine. His medical career includes a trauma and ICU fellowship, equipping him with advanced knowledge and techniques crucial for managing a wide variety of scenarios. Apart from saving lives, his interests include art and music.
JESS FELDMANN | DIRECTOR
Jess has worked with Dr. Chris for years at our Irvine clinic, and decided to dive in head first when the opportunity of creating SEDATED INK arrived. She has experience working directly with patients as well as behind the scenes. She has always been attracted to things that may seem outside of the norm, as she views them as visionary opportunities. Her passion for the art of tattooing started at a very young age – her first stick and poke was at age 13. Since then, she has collected much more high quality (and professional) artwork on her body.
“All of my tattoos have such important meaning to me, so it’s hard to choose a favorite. I have ‘in memoriam’ portraits of my cats, and my sleeve is based around mental health and my personal hardships – so those are all very close to my heart.”
DIANA ORTIZ | COORDINATOR
Tasked with the role of ensuring every patient journey is smooth, Diana is an integral part of Sedated Ink. She is responsible for assisting our director with coordination of clients, artists, events, and everything in between. Outside of the office, she loves to spend her time DJing and cuddling her pup, Elon.
